It is with regret we announce that ALL EVENTS for the 2018 Celebrations this weekend are postponed until a later date due to the severe weather conditions and health and safety concerns for particpants, supporters and those travelling to the event.

During the weeks leading up to the event an extensive Education Programme will be run in local schools

BLESSING OF THE BONNETS - Faithlegg Church, County Waterford - FREE PUBLIC EVENT
For almost a decade artist Dr Christina Henri has worked on the Bonnet Project to raise awareness of the story of 25,566 women who were transported to Australia. Following last years very successful exhibition in Waterford for the 1848 Tricolour Celebrations, there will be a blessing of the Bonnets at the Meagher Family Grave at Faithlegg Church, County Waterford. Blessing by Fr. Brian Power, music and prayers. In attendance H.E. Richard Andrews, Ambassador of Australia to Ireland.

WREATH LAYING CLOONEY MONUMENT - Ballybricken Church Graveyard
A Wreath will be laid by members of the 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry Regiment, New York.
This will be followed by a parade by band to Flag Raising Ceremony on The Mall.
SUNDAY, 4th March. Time: 1.00pm
FLAG RAISING CEREMONY- The Mall, Waterford.
Flag Raising Ceremony will take place outside the Waterford Crystal Building on the Mall and will be attended by Visiting Ambassadors and guests, members of the 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry Regiment, New York and Military and Naval Representatives.
